Terry Simon is to lead a EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League All Stars side against the Premier Division champions to raise money for charity.
The League Representative side will play either Swinton Athletic, Wakefield AFC or Dodworth Miners Welfare in the Brian Bradley Cup at Wombwell Town on Friday 20th May.
Admission is £2 and all proceeds will go to the league’s men’s mental health partner #ItsOkToTalk which raises money for the Samaritans and Barnsley-based community group Project 14.
Wombwell Main head honcho Simon is currently burning the midnight oil to ensure he assembles a terrifyingly fearsome side to face whoever wins the top flight title.
Swinton, whose fixtures are over, currently hold top spot, but that could change on Saturday if Wakefield beat Oughtibridge.
Wakefield will all but secure the title due to their superior goals difference.
A draw or defeat will throw the race wide open again as Dodworth would come back into the frame, along with Swinton who would need Wakefield and Dodworth to draw on the final day of the season on May 14th.
The Cup is named after Brian Bradley who was very well known across the Non League and local football circuit in South Yorkshire.
Brian was a former referee as well as an ex Doncaster Rovers commentator for BBC Radio Sheffield.
He also wrote columns about local football for the Sheffield Telegraph, alongside holding various positions for the Sheffield & Hallamshie County FA.
He and his wife Judith tragically passed away after a car accident in 2015.
