EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League

Askern Miners’ Central Midlands League side has been accepted into Division Two of the County Senior League.

Their place is subject to approval from the league’s clubs at the AGM in June or July.

Askern were interviewed last week by the County Senior League, however, a decision was deferred as the CSL wanted more clarity on the proposed merger with FC Humber United.

Askern met with Humber officials at the weekend and have now provided assurances to the CSL about their club for forthcoming season.

The Askern team competing in the CSL will be the one which finished second bottom of the CML.

Dinnington Town Reserves, Evo Soccer, Sheffield City Reserves, Tusaale and Wombwell Town Reserves all passed the interview stage last week.
