Another blast from the past has returned to Guiseley as part of Danny Ellis’ new era at Nethermoor.
Striker Jake Cassidy is back for more, five years after departing for Hartlepool United.
Cassidy, who has played for the likes of Wolves, Notts County, Tranmere Rovers, Oldham Athletic and York City, was a team-mate of Ellis’ at Darlington last season.
Cassidy told Guiseley’s website: “Once I heard that Danny had got the job at Guiseley I wanted to join him at Nethermoor.
“He is someone I have worked with as a player. He has signed George Smith who was also at Darlington with us last season and he is a great lad.
“He is someone I think the Guiseley fans will like and it is excellent to have him on board.”
