Ex-Glasshoughton joint boss helping to raise money for Ukraine

Former Glasshoughton Welfare joint manager Darren Holmes

Former Glasshoughton Welfare joint manager Darren Holmes is jointly leading a team next week to help raise money for UNICEF’s emergency appeal to help families in Ukraine.

Player/joint manager Holmes is overseeing a Groundwork X1 with Aleks Cellebicanin and they will pit their wits against Wakefield Athletic B on Sunday 12th June (kick 2pm) at West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club.

One of Holmes’ pet hates is losing so he’s leaving no stone unturned in searching for quality in his recruitment.

Former Nostell Miners Welfare striker Nathan Perks
Former Ossett United goalkeeper Mat Zaniewski

Goalkeepers Mat Zanieswki and Adam Rhodes are named as players involved, along with Danny Youel, Adam Hayton, Mark Ferguson, young Matt Cuncliffe, Matt Semley and Nathan Perks.

Holmes, of course, adds huge strength in the defensive areas.

There will be a raffle on the day and donation buckets.
