North Ferriby striker Josh Whiteley is Non League Yorkshire’s 2021/22 player of the year.
Former Ossett Town player Whiteley started the season playing local football.
He had a very brief spell with Glasshoughton Welfare before Ferriby came calling.
He went onto play a very key role during Ferriby’s path to the play-off final victory over Harrogate Railway.
Whiteley follows in the footsteps of previous winner Harrison Biggins, who is now playing for Doncaster Rovers.

Garforth Town hero James Burgess finished second, with Brighouse Town sharp-shooter Laurence Sorhaindo close behind him in third.

Golcar United talisman Daniel Naidole, the 2014 winner, came fourth.

Young Ilkley Town forward Kevin Gonzalez finished fifth.
