John Askey has secured two of his promotion-winners for York City’s long-awaited return to the top flight of Non League Football but he has lost one key man.
Captain Paddy McLaughlin has signed a new deal and will be around for a seventh campaign with the club.
Maxim Kouogun is the other player who has renewed his contract.
He move from Irish side Shelbourne midway through last season and was a crucial part of their surprise run to promotion.
However, they have lost midfielder Akil Wright who has signed for Football League new-boys Stockport County.
