A former manager of Hallam has returned to management after two years out.
Ryan Hindley has been installed as the new manager of Retford United.
He replaces Liam Kay who recently stood down.
Hindley, whose playing career took in spells with the likes of Retford, Worksop Town, Alfreton Town and Ilkeston Town, began his managerial career at Hallam in 2014.
He turned them from cannon fodder into promotion candidates, but was unable them to guide them into the NCEL Premier Division during his tenure.
He left for Worksop in 2017 and he had a brief spell in the Sandy Lane dugout.
His last sole manager’s job was at Rossington Main during the 2018/19 season.
He briefly returned to Hallam in early 2020 to be joint manager with Steve Whitehead.
