FC Halifax Town have been left in the lurch by striker Jamie Allen who has joined the cast of ITV2 hit show Love Island just over two weeks before the season begins.
Allen will miss effectively the rest of the pre-season as Halifax prepare for the season opener at Barnet on 6th August.
Halifax said in a statement:“Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.
“The matter will be reviewed on his return.”
