Lee Morris made two late signings at Armthorpe Welfare prior to the 1-0 defeat at Worsbrough Bridge.
Highly-rated midfielder Louis Wardle turned out for Armthorpe against one of his former sides.
Wardle played for Houghton Main last night and was one of the best players in the EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League.
He is best known for coming through the ranks at Barnsley.
The other new player who appeared for Armthorpe was striker Kieran Hirst who played for Worsbrough during the Morris era.
Hirst has been on Garforth Town, Parkgate and Nostell Miners Welfare’s books prior to playing for Wombwell Main in the last couple of years.
