Pickering Town ended weeks of woe by claiming their first win of the season on Tuesday night.
Pickering held on to beat Tow Law Town 2-1 at home which halts a bad start.
Steve Roberts’ men got off to a dream start as captain Wayne Brooksby placed them in front in the 14th minute.
Tow Law equalised before the break.
Brooksby was involved in the winner as it was him who fired the ball across the penalty area for Jamie Thornton to smash it into the top corner.
The Pikes have endured a nightmare start to the campaign but the win gives hope of a turnaround.
