Talented defender Dale Brettoner introduced himself to the Penistone Church Reserves masses in style by scoring twice in his new side’s 4-0 beating of Sheffield Town.

Highly-rated Brettoner has arrived from Athersley Rec and because of his intelligent as a defender he is bound to form a formidable partnership with fellow new signing Harry Hurst.

Alfie Broughton and Ryan Hallsworth also netted for Church who are now in the quarter-finals.

Dodworth Miners Welfare survived an onslaught from Wombwell Main to win 2-1.

Terry Simon’s Wombwell were extremely unlucky to lose but Aaron Brotherton’s 70th minute goal pulled Dodworth out of the fire and was the difference.

Prodigal son Danny Barlow had placed Dodworth ahead but Wombwell deservedly hit back through Ryan Wingrove who got in-behind and scored a lobbed finish.

Wombwell Town won 5-1 at Kinsley Boys thanks to goals from Eddie Agnew (2), Jordan Cooper, Luke Haslam and Will Harling.
