Campion pulled off another headline-grabbing result by winning 3-1 at fellow title contenders Rossington Main to open up a six point lead at the top.

Aiden Day opened the scoring in the seventh minute before former Bradford City striker Ross Hannah equalised with a brilliant volley.

Paddy Sykes restored the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Andy McCreadie added the third with a low effort on the hour mark.

Harrogate Railway midfielder Jack Lazenby

Harrogate Railway continued their good form with the 2-0 home defeat of Selby Town.

Fatlum Ibrahimi and Jack Lazenby scored in either half for Mick O’Connell’s side.

Swallownest manager Alex Nightingale

Alex Nightingale showed his charges that he still has the touch of stardust as he scored Swallownest’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Athersley Rec.

The Rec took the lead in the 44th minute thanks to Kyle Batchelor.

Wakefield AFC lost further ground on Campion as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat to young Staveley Miners Welfare.

Jock Curran put Wakefield ahead but Staveley soon hit back.

Glasshoughton Welfare remain in the bottom three after losing 3-0 to Retford FC.

Craig Muirhead ensured Dave Ricardo’s Beverley Town were winning at half-time at Dronfield Town.

However, the high-flying hosts turned the game on its head and won 3-1.

Nostell Miners Welfare were beaten 3-1 by Ollerton Town at Crofton Community Centre.

Nick Lalousis was Nostell’s goal-scorer.
