Jamal Stewart ended a run of ten consecutive games for Yorkshire Amateur by hitting the second half winner in the solitary goal victory over Golcar United.
Stewart turned in Jordan Spencer’s cross in the 61st minute – earned the Ammers a win that lifts them off the foot of the table.
The Ammers even had a substituted player sent off following the celebrations as Reggie Waud was shown a red card.
Golcar then had chances through Danny Facey, Daniel Naidole and Kayle Price but they were unable to find the equaliser.
The Ammers visit high-flying Emley AFC on Saturday while Golcar host Winterton Rangers.
