The forwards didn’t get the headlines this week as defender Dan Illingworth headed unstoppable leaders Campion to a very late 1-0 win over brave Armthorpe Welfare.
Armthorpe had given everything in an end-to-end clash but left empty-handed after Illingworth’s intervention.
Ben Agu’s double helped Horbury Town beat Athersley Rec 5-1 and remain second.
Joe Penn’s opener for Horbury was cancelled out by Jamie Moxon.
Sam Kyeremeh and Sam Awty also netted for Horbury.
Harrogate Railway ended storming to a 4-0 victory at Parkgate.
Elliot Holmes and Oli Norman put Railway in control by half-time.
New signing Sean Hunter scored two very late goals to round the win off.
Greg Young struck the late winner for Rossington Main who edged to a 3-2 defeat of Wakefield AFC.
Lewis Stephens and Billy Mole both put Wakefield ahead in the first half.
Ross Hannah had equalised in between.
Monosse Kianga levelled again in the second half before Young’s winner.
