West Riding County Cup
Horbury Town caused another shock in the West Riding County Cup after knocking out Thackley in a 3-2 win.
The victory was spectacular as well as they came back from 2-0 down to move into the next round.
Tom Greaves had put Thackley in control with his double in the opening ten minutes.
Sam Kyeremeh led the fight-back to keep the game in the balance at half-time.
Sam Awty and Dan Wassall won it for Horbury in the second half.
NCEL League Cup Third Round
Penistone Church eased into the next round by dispatching Maltby Main in a 4-2 victory.
Cameron Simpson, James Young, Leon Hurles-Brook and Nathan Keightley netted for Church.
Sam Ackroyd and Freddy Tracey were Maltby’s goal-scorers.
Campion lost 3-1 at Winterton Rangers.
