Wakefield AFC needed a late winner in their dramatic 4-3 defeat of Shirebrook Town.

Wakefield had surrendered the lead twice having led 2-0 and 3-2 at different stages.

Billy Mole’s close range finish and Lewis Stephens’ tap-in appeared to have put Wakey on course for a straight-forward win.

However, Shirebrook hit back with two quick-fire goals at the beginning of the second half.

Jayden Sandhu restored the lead by firing into the top corner on the hour.

Shirebrook fought back again and it took a deflected effort from Danny Youel to claim maximum points.

Bottom side Glasshoughton Welfare lost 2-0 at Staveley Miners Welfare.
