Stocksbridge Park Steels won 3-2 after holding off a late fight-back from Pontefract Collieries to maintain their hold on third spot.
Stocksbridge’s fairytale season continues and they found themselves 3-0 up at Beechnut Lane after goals from Tomas Poole, Ify Ofoegbu and the returning Luke Rawson.
However, their position was put under threat when Cody Cromack and Ben Turner provided late hope for the Colls.
Vill Powell’s Brighouse Town responded to the call for a push towards the play-offs in the second half of the campaign by winning 2-1 against Ossett United.
Brighouse were trailing at half-time to Alex Peterson’s strike but goals from Myron Gibbons and Jack Wilson secured the three points for the home side.
It was a remarkable effort from Ossett though as defender Danny Burns was sent off in the third minute.
Bridlington Town piled more misery on Tadcaster Albion as Mike Thompson’s men won 2-0 at Queensgate.
Benn Lewis and Joe Norton struck for Brid.
The result leaves Tadcaster winless after 21 league games.
