There has been a change of manager at Bridlington Town.
Mike Thompson has resigned after half-a-season in charge of Brid which has seen the club surprise many by being in a mid-table position.
His assistants Adrian Costello and Ron Milham have taken over as the club’s new managers.
Costello managed Garforth Town during the 2015/16 season, keeping them up after arriving midway through the campaign after the squad had been decimated after widespread departures to Ossett Town.
He has also had a successful stint managing in Sweden.
Chairman Pete Smurthwaite said: “Mike Thompson our first team managers has today informed the club he has resigned from his position.
“The team will now be managed by Aidrian Costello and Ron Milham who have been assisting Mike Thompson this season.
“We wish Mike all the best for the future and thank him for the hard work and time spent managing the team for the last 7 months.”
Former Brid player Thompson replaced Brett Agnew after two successful years in charge of Beverley Town.
He won the Humber Premier League in his first campaign before leading them to promotion to Non League Football for the first time in their history in the second season.
