Grant Darley played for Pontefract in the 5-2 defeat to Cleethorpes
Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s Grant Darley is joining Pontefract Collieries for a few games to build some match fitness up.
His debut did not go well as the Colls were hammered 5-2 by Retford United, but the midfielder certainly strengthens their side.
He won rave reviews for his displays in the final ten games of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division campaign last season.
Darley was a key player as written-off Aquaforce stormed past Worksop, who collapsed under the pressure, to lift the title with a game to spare.
Shaw Lane have also let Anton Foster depart. He made his debut for Sheffield FC on Tuesday night.
