Stand-in manager Lee Morris came off the bench to score the winner for Shaw Lane Aquaforce in the dramatic 4-3 victory over Farsley Celtic in the pulsating FA Trophy first qualifying round tie.

Morris, in charge with Daz Smith as Craig Elliott was away, brought himself on and pulled Aquaforce out of the fire with two late to grab a victory out of the jaws of defeat.

Aquaforce probably it was business as usual after Lee Bennett capitalised on poor defending from Farsley to put his side in front after just 60 seconds.

However, Shaw Lane’s run of seven clean sheets on the trot came to an end as Robbie O’Brien deservedly equalised for Farsley.

Adam Priestley, playing his former side for the first time, restored Aquaforce’s lead before O’Brien scored again for Farsley.

From an incorrectly awarded throw-in, Paul Walker sent Aiden Savory away and he placed Farsley ahead for the first time in the tie on the stroke of half-time.

The visitors held on for a long time, but the pressure mounted on them and a tap-in from Morris levelled matters.

Farsley’s chances of holding reduced when defender Paddy Miller was sent off for a second bookable offence.

As a replay beckoned, Morris scrambled home the dramatic winner to send Aquaforce through.
