Third-placed Farsley AFC are out to end their Bamber Bridge hoodoo tomorrow in the crucial Evo Stik Division One North encounter.
Both teams are hoping to earn play-offs spots in April and Farsley are yet to win at Bamber as a reformed club. Farsley last won at Bridge in March 2005 when Rodney Rowe and James Knowles scored to earn Lee Sinnott’s side a 2-1 victory.
Farsley lost 4-0 there last season and 2-1 in 2011, but manager Neil Parsley isn’t interested in the past.
“It is not the best hunting ground for us, but myths and bogey sides are there to be overcome and we have done a few of them this season.
“It should be a good game. We have had two good games against them at Farsley this season, a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 win.
“They were two tight games so I wouldn’t envisage anything other. Bamber are in the play-offs race, but there are still a lot of teams still in the race and a lot of big games to play
“People also want the points for different reasons.”
Parsley has also addressed fan concerns over club captain Robbie O’Brien’s positioning on-the-field.
On the issue, Parsley added: “I hear people grumbling and mumbling about Robbie O’Brien saying he’s ‘playing right wide’ and all that.
“Robbie doesn’t play wide right, not in the system we play. He is tucked in on the right hand side and it is more of a 4-1-3-2 that we play.
“Robbie is not an out and out wide player, but I pick the side and I pick players that I feel will get results for this football club.”
