Kieran Scargill made his debut for Handsworth Parramore on Saturday during the 4-2 defeat to Bridlington Town.
The highly-rated midfielder recently left Athersley Rec and Handsworth have reacted the quickest to sign him.
He has been a key part of Athersley’s rise from the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior League to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
Handsworth chief Peter Duffield said: “Kieran is a player that we know all about and when it became apparent he would be available we didn’t hesitate in getting him on board.
“He has tremendous ability and a real passion and drive for the game.”
