Maltby Main goalkeeper Danny Rusling is continuing with his bid to return the professional game.

Rusling, released from Barnsley last summer, has spent time with Scottish League side Stranraer and Port Vale already this season.

Interest is high and Rusling is likely to be going for a week’s trial at an Irish club at the end of this month.

Partnership

Maltby have taken a third player as part of their partnership with National League North side Gainsborough Trinity.

Winger Cameron Rigby and attacker Lynton Karachi have arrived already and the latter actually scored on his debut in the 5-1 defeat at Cleethorpes Town on Saturday.

Striker Lewis Bemrose, formerly of Grimsby Town, is the latest player to dual-register with Gainsborough and Maltby.

The trio will not be the only additions that Maltby make this week as Spencer Fearn and Mark Askwith are looking to bulk their squad up for the heavy fixture schedule that is coming up.
