Lee Morris has made a big coup in his bid to pull Goole AFC away from relegation danger.
Along with the signing of former Garforth Town and Ossett Town attacker Luke Mangham, Morris has recruited Handsworth Parramore striker Nathan Joynes.
Joynes will make his Goole debut against his old club Stocksbridge Park Steels tonight. Joynes has an impressive CV with scoring sprees with the likes of Stocksbridge, Guiseley and Stalybridge.
Morris told Non League Yorkshire: “I played with Nathan at Matlock and he’s a massive signing for us.
“He’s one I have been trying to get since day one so I am very happy that we have got him.
“He’s a big physical presence and he’s going to be massive for us.”
Mangham has also signed, but he won’t play against Stocksbridge, the club he initially signed for in the summer, because he’s injured.
He began his career with Worsbrough Bridge under current Steels boss Chris Hilton before moving onto Garforth Town. He was an instant hit at the J.S White Community Stadium and finished last season as their top goal-scorer.
He did sign Evo Stik forms for Stocksbridge in the summer, but then-Garforth boss Graham Nicholas somehow persuaded him to return to East Leeds.
Mangham followed Nicholas to Ossett Town in November, but left Ingfield last week after the change in management.
