David Brown scored a late penalty to extend the gap between Ossett Town and the relegation zone to five points ahead of the crunch clash with Harrogate Railway tomorrow.

The point could prove to be vital for Ossett, who lost captain Nick Wood after only seven minutes after breaking his nose.

Bamber’s goal on 26 minutes also came from the penalty spot. Andy Hawksworth was adjudged to have handled and former Fleetwood Town captain Jamie Milligan tucked away the spot kick.

Ossett salvaged their point with five minutes to go. Brad Kilner was the player fouled. Brown was the hero with a coolly taken spot kick.

Ossett Town: Beaurepaire, Hawksworth, Kilner, McBurnie, Rogers, Wood (captain), Farnhill, Ridley, Peterson, J Schofield, Mackie. Subs: Assenso, Payne, Quinlan, L Schofield, Brown.
