AFC Emley have given themselves the best chance of claiming third place after thrashing Worsbrough Bridge.

Craig Billington gave Emley a solid 2-0 half-time lead before Darren Hepworth brought Ash Flynn off-the-bench after the interval. Flynn went onto score a hat-trick.

Emley’s goal-scoring was finished off by Alex Slack and Iwan Heeley. Emley can take a major step towards securing third when they face rivals Bottesford at the Welfare Ground tomorrow.

Dronfield Town 9-0 Hull United

Crisis club Hull United’s embarrassing finish to the season continued as Dronfield trounced them for nine.

In what was probably Hull’s last game as an NCEL club, Curtis Woodhouse fielded a team that was unrecognisable from recent line-ups. Goalkeeper Phil Dobson was bizarrely upfront.

Hull conceded twice in the first ten minutes and then were well and truly taken apart by Dronfield.

Handsworth Parramore 3-5 Cleethorpes Town

The bad injury suffered by goalkeeper Archie Sneath was more of a concern for holders Handsworth than their extra-time defeat to Cleethorpes.

Sneath was taken to hospital with a back injury and concussion.

In the repeat of last year’s final, Kieran Wells, Ash Burbeary and Danny Buttle scored for Parramore.
