Toolstation NCEL Premier Division
Liversedge 4-0 Armthorpe Welfare
Roy Fogarty scored a hat-trick as Liversedge stormed out of the relegation zone for the first time since September.
Just one more win out of their last three fixtures could be enough to complete the great escape. Armthorpe are in serious trouble and face tough trips to Tadcaster and Garforth for their final two games.
Former Harrogate Railway striker Fogarty struck twice in the first half to hand Sedge a solid half-time lead.
Sedge quickly killed Armthorpe off in the early part of the second half. Fogarty completed hat-trick before Benny Igiehon fired home.
Thackley lost 1-0 at Rainworth Miners Welfare.
The money was spent on the field not on play ing staff that was the stipulation of the grant
Yes apologies must be coincidence they attracted all those new players at the same time the money was being spent on the field being improved.
Well Simon, don’t worry your little self. This coincidence will be cleared up for you shortly as Hyundai sent a film crew to video the work and be part of the whole process. If you care to leave your full name I will be sure to send you the video when it’s published?
In the light of comments being levelled at Liversedge FC, we would like to put on record the following:
In March 2016 Liversedge FC secured a grand of £5000.00 through Hyundai UK.
We were shortlisted and selected randomly from 100s of applicants across the UK.
The final selection was based on Liversedge FC submitting a detailed proposal giving information on how and what the money would be spent and how it would help our club and the community.
The document (a detailed submittal of 29 pages) is available to view by anybody if they so wish, please email us and I will happily forward.
This document was submitted just 30 minutes before the deadline and took hours and hours of someone’s volunteered time to compile.
May we categorically state that as part of the terms and conditions of the grant that ALL of the £5k, down to the last penny went on the works and the works only. Not on playing staff, coaching staff or expenditure of the football club as suggested above.
To clarify that throughout this entire process no monies were transferred to Liversedge FC and went directly from Hyundai to the contractor.
Liversedge FC would like to place on record of that the accusations made (seriously or sarcastically) are wholly unjust, based on assumption and cast our club in a bad light.
We are happy to speak to anybody throwing accusations (serious or sarcastic) such as the above to put them straight with the facts!
Best Regards
Danny Cooper on behalf of Liversedge FC
