Stars from ITV soap Emmerdale turned out to help raise over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK at Garforth Town on Sunday afternoon.

An Emmerdale team, which included Danny Miller, James Hooton, Anthony Quinlan, Jack Downham and Joe-Warren Plant, took on the British Transport Police.

BTP triumphed in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw in normal time. Joe-Warren Plant – Jacob Gallagher on screen – scored twice for Emmerdale, alongside a goal from Tom Atkinson.

BTP, in reply, got goals from Andy Selby, Glen Alderson and Richard Moses. Organiser and goalkeeper John Moses saved a vital penalty in the shootout before scoring the winning spot kick.
