The amount of long distance trips in Evo Stik Division One North could be a factor if any of Tadcaster Albion’s title-winning squad decide to leave the i2i Sports Stadium.
Billy Miller is beginning to speak to his players this week after their season ended with the League Cup final defeat to Cleethorpes Town on Saturday.
“There are so many things that come in to factor now,” he said.
“The travelling in the NCEL has been cut over the years, certainly from the last time I was in it with Liversedge. We used to go down to Arnold Town and Long Eaton. It is a convenient league and the standard is really good.
“For us it is now potentially Colwyn Bay away on a Tuesday night. The players have to sit down and geographically look at where their position is. Some of my lads can’t get off work before 5.30pm.
“There is some big decisions to be made by them personally. That’s before we decide which direction the club is going to go.
“I’ve spoken to no-one at this moment in time. I’m sure the rumour mill is absolutely rife. I don’t think it would be fair on the players we have got. This next week is about talking to the (current) players and that’s just to ascertain what they want to do.”
