National League North
Former Leeds United defender Ben Parker has joined Harrogate Town, just two weeks after his departure from Guiseley.
Harrrogate’s defence is getting stronger as the signing compliments the recent capture of Simon Ainge from Bradford (Park Avenue).
Parker was with Guiseley for three years and helped them avoid relegation from the National League. He has also played for Bradford City, Darlington and Carlisle.
Simon Weaver said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ben to the club. He is a player that I’ve liked for some time and is someone who will add ability and experience to our squad.
“He has already demonstrated that he is totally committed to the extra training sessions we will be having next season, and is keen to be part of the progress at the club. As a character, Ben is another leader, and will play a huge part in the squad both on and off the field.”
