The new Hall Road Rangers manager Dave Ricardo has made his opening mark by confirming the signings of eight players.

Some are new faces, while others were part of previous manager Martin Thacker’s team.

Ben Kinsley, Leighton Matthewson and goalkeeper Jordan Douglas are the three who have pledged to remain with the Hull-based side.

Arriving at Haworth Park are Danny Norton, Luke Thompson, Tom Bennett, Craig Muirhead and Sam Belcher.

Midfielders Norton, Bennett and Muirhead all played for Ricardo and his assistant Bill Gill at Selby Town

Sam Belcher will strengthen their defence. He has played for Barton Town Old Boys in the past few years.

Thompson is a striker who played for Hall Road a couple of seasons ago.

It is a solid start to Ricardo’s reign at Hall Road and bodes optimism for the start of his plan to establish Rangers as a leading side in the Division.
