Selby Town have made their first statement of intent after Liam Ormsby agreed to sign for them.
It is a significant coup by Selby’s new management team Nigel Emery, Reuben Pearse and Mick Carmody, who were handed the reins permanently last month after a successful stint in caretaker charge.
Selby lost Nick Thompson to Pickering Town, but Ormsby, son of Leeds United legend Brendan, more than fills the void. The locally-based midfielder left Tadcaster Albion two weeks ago, the club where he had been a big part of their recent successes in the league and FA Vase.
Ormsby, a free kick and penalties specialist, has also played for Garforth Town, Pontefract Collieries and Albion Sports.
