Jordan Turner introduced himself to supporters of Pontefract Collieries with a double in the 3-0 victory over Ossett Albion.
The former Hallam striker scored two first half goals as the new-look Colls started as they mean to go on.
Long-standing left-sided player Josh Corbett added the third in the second half.
A late rally from Knaresborough Town secured them a 3-2 win at Ilkley Town.
Former Leeds United winger Seb Carole did give Knaresborough a second minute lead, but Ilkley hit back through Iain Blackburn and Adam Davey.
A defeat was on the cards until Ben Joyce and Brad Walker earned Knaresborough a dramatic victory.

Steve Brammer (2), Jack Hargreaves, Jed Phillips, Scott Bates and Jacob Mason scored as Hallam beat Goole AFC 6-2.
Goole fielded a side primarily made up of trialists and Sam Robinson and Brandon Burke scored for them.
Liversedge were 2-0 victors against local side Ealandians – Reece Davis and Anthony Hilton scored.
Parkgate had over 1000 fans in at Roundwood for their 7-0 defeat to a strong Rotherham United outfit.
Despite a good performance Parkgate fell behind on 42 minutes thanks to a header from Kirk Broadfoot.
Multiple substitutions by Rotherham at half time saw an entirely different team playing. One of several trialists made it 2-0 on 53 minutes with a close range shot. Craig Laight then scored an own goal. A superb run and angled shot by Danny Ward added the fourth before Jerry Yates scored. Ward wasn’t finished as he scored two more in the closing stages.
Rossington Main and Staveley Miners Welfare drew 2-2. Ally Churchill and Dan Green were on target for Rossington.
