Gareth Hunter has opted to switch from Glasshoughton Welfare to Premier Division side Athersley Rec.
Hunter did feature for Glasshoughton during the 3-1 defeat at Pontefract Collieries on Tuesday night, but has since decided his future lay with Athersley.
The midfielder has a lot of NCEL experience having played for the likes of Pontefract and Worsbrough. He has also turned out for Athersley in the past.
The other new face is defender Brad Kilburn, whose former clubs are Worsbrough and Ossett Town.
Athersley have also confirmed their retained list: Jack Briscoe, Martyn Scully, Adam White, Danny Cawley, Liam Owen, Thomas Almond, Dane Hodgson, Connor Johnson, McCauley Shillito, Ryan Smith, Declan Welford, Dale Brettoner, Tom Copping, Tom Anderson, Luke Bradbury and Jack Ripley.
The Rec kick off their pre-season schedule with a short trip to Penistone Church on Monday night.
That is 48 hours before the prestigious friendly with a Barnsley X1. The night is also important because Tykes boss Paul Heckingbottom will officially the new supporters club stand.
