Mark ‘Willy’ Wilson is all set for his 25th campaign in Non League Football after committing to Worsbrough Bridge, along with three other players.
Wilson, whose career parallels the one of Ossett Albion defender Steve Nicholson, is chasing a 1000 games and needs to play a further 31 to achieve his aim.
He has played for a variety of clubs including Emley, Worksop Town, Bradford (Park Avenue) and Stocksbridge Park Steels, among others.
The midfielder was a late addition to Worsbrough last season.
The other three players are midfielder Alex Jones (ex-Sheffield FC and Dronfield), Brad Mellor (ex-Barnsley academy and Houghton Main) and centre-back Jake Drafz (ex-Frickley u19s and North Gawber).
Worsbrough kick off the new season at Yorkshire Amateur on Saturday.
When they bury Willo, he’ll still come up for the corners!
Brilliant! I can’t wait for the season to start on Saturday.
