Thackley and Maltby Main had to settle for a point each in the clash at Dennyfield.

In a first half dominated by Main, they took the lead after 7 minutes when Shawn Mitchell finished a well worked set piece.

Main had several chances to extend their lead but were unable to find the second.

Thackley came out well for the second period and had the better of the opening exchanges. A mix up allowed Daniel Clayton to equalise on 62 minutes.

What They Said

Maltby Main manager Spencer Fearn

“In the first 25 minutes of the game we were phenomenal, but needed that second goal. There were some very strong performances again and although we were disappointed not to come away with the win, a point away at Thackley is a good result”
