Evo Stik Division One North
Mossley 0-4 Brighouse Town
Hat-trick hero Ruben Jerome enjoyed one of the most memorable and incredible debuts in Brighouse Town history.
For someone making a giant leap of two Divisions from AFC Emley, young Jerome took to Evo Stik football like a duck to water.
His 12th minute opener was supplied to him by a fellow new face, Greg Pearson, whose cross gave the striker the chance to score.
His second goal was exactly the same, only Luke Parkin delivered the cross from the other wing.
Midfielder Tom Haigh effectively wrapped up the points straight after half-time with a long range screamer.
Jerome sealed his hat-trick late-on. Danny Bunch crossed and Jerome connected with the ball with his head to score.
He starts his three-match suspension on Wednesday for a misdemeanour in his final AFC Emley game, but he’s certainly wet fans of Brighouse’s appetites.
