Shaw Lane Aquaforce boss Craig Elliott admits his side face a tough test at Rossington Main

Craig Elliott hopes Shaw Lane Aquaforce can continue their recent top performances at Rossington Main tomorrow.
The road to promotion in the Toolstation NCEL Division One schedule is close to its journey’s end with Shaw Lane flying the flag for Yorkshire in second place – the 2-0 success over Hallam on Tuesday night propelled them to that position.
Aquaforce have Rossington tomorrow and then Hemsworth and Knaresborough in midweek and it is likely that Elliott’s side will need to win all three to secure promotion.
The clash with Hallam was their first game for two weeks since the 13-0 annihilation of Grimsby and Elliott said: “The break wasn’t ideal because other teams are getting results and you feel a bit out of it.
“Just before the break we playing like I want us to play, pretty well.
“We were scoring goals and even in the Cleethorpes game we played well. You don’t want to stop when you’re playing like that.
“The lads came back on Tuesday though and took it to the next game.
“Our chances are in the balance. On paper we have three difficult matches, but I look no further than tomorrow, I know it is a cliché.
“Rossington are a good team and we just have to go and get a result. But, I’m under no illusions about how it will be.
“We have to hold our nerve. I said to them on Tuesday that we have a lot of obstacles to overcome between now and the end of the season so it’s just how we react to them.
“We need a bit of luck like any team so fingers crossed we’ll do it.”
Two players definitely missing from the trip to Rossington are suspended duo Danny Patterson and club captain Luke Danville.
Patterson is serving the last of his two match ban for his red card in the Worsbrough derby match, while Danville is also missing for the last time for suspension for ten yellow card.
Elliott added: “I’m not going to lie, Danville and Patterson’s suspensions have not come at a great time.
“They are two of my leaders on the pitch, but I’ve been in management long enough to know that you’re always missing one of your players each week.
“You just have to get on with it.”
