Great night for Liversedge, despite loss

They did not get the win, but Liversedge enjoyed one of their best night’s in recent memory as 605 people flocked to Clayborn to see the late 2-1 defeat to Bridlington Town.

The league leaders went ahead with 15 minutes remaining through a Chris Jenkinson own goal.

However, Brid hit back with a tremendous Jamie Forrester strike before Joel Sutton won it. The result means Curtis Woodhouse has won all four of his games in charge of Brid since taking over from Gary Allanson.

‘Sedge were promoting the game under the banner of ‘Pack Out the Clayborn’ and were hoping to capitalise on their great start by breaking their record attendance.

Pickering Town were unable to record a seventh consecutive league clean sheet after losing 4-2 at home to Albion Sports.

A last minute equaliser denied Harrogate Railway a third straight win in the 2-2 draw at Retford United. Player/manager Paul Beesley and Chris Ovington’s goals had looked to have been enough for three points.
