Heroic ten man Frickley Athletic led 4-1 at half-time against the league leaders, but had to settle for a point after Buxton levelled late-on in the epic clash.

Frickley boss Lee Morris played himself against one of his former sides and he helped to set up the opener for FC Halifax loanee Shiraz Khan.

Khan then grabbed a second with a close range strike before Niall Doran pulled a goal back for Buxton.

If any Frickley fans weren’t in dreamland at this point, they soon were as Tyler Williams scored the third on 24 minutes.

Frickley captain MacAuley Parkinson saw red before Morris scored from the penalty spot as half-time approached.

Buxton’s fight-back began with a Joel Bembo-Leta header on the hour. Former Shaw Lane midfielder Lee Bennett raised the tension with Buxton’s third late-on before Leta secured a point for the high-fliers.
