Frickley Athletic had to bide their time, but they got the vital victory in the end, courtesy of a header from Jack Waters.

Many will have wrote struggling Frickley off against one of the league top sides.

But Lee Morris’ side rode out every single bit of pressure Rushall threw out them. There were a few hairy moments when goalkeeper Sebastian Malkowski. Sam Hanna also had to clear a goal-bound header off-the-line.

Frickley took the game to Rushall in the last ten minutes. Shiraz Khan denied by a good save as the pressure mounted, just minutes before Waters made himself the hero.

The victory is Frickley’s first away from home this season.
