Calum Ward was back to his best after scoring four goals in Selby Town’s bizarre 7-4 win at struggling Brigg Town.

Ward hit two in the first half which saw Selby lead 4-1 with further strikes from Tom Hogg and Ash Lattimore.

By the 68th minute, Ward had struck twice and Liam Flanagan had added the other to take Selby to 7-2. Two late goals reduced the deficit.

Penistone Church had no trouble in returning to summit in their 3-0 win over Westella & Willerby.

Strikes from Danny Joynes and Danny Howes and an own goal from Matthew Lucid made the victory possible.

Campion climbed into sixth spot with a straight-forward 3-0 win at home to Yorkshire Amateur. Eli Hey (2) and Josh Cooke scored.

AFC Emley are three points behind them following the 2-0 home win against Ollerton Town – Ash Flynn and Sam Jerome got the goals.
