Shaw Lane AFC survived a bad start by coming from behind to beat their rivals Frickley Athletic 6-2 in Barnsley.

The first meeting of the sides since the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup final debacle saw Ducks legend Lee Morris’ Frickley go 2-0 in front after just 17 minutes through Tyler Williams and Nathan Valentine.

Shaw Lane responded with force and goals from Jake Beesley, Gavin Allott and Alex Byrne ensured the Ducks were in charge by half-time.

The victory was sealed in the second half by Kieran Lugsden (2) and Jack Tuohy.

Goole AFC impressively held top Evo Stik Premier Division side Blyth Spartans to a 1-1 draw.

A second half penalty from Bobby Johnson booked a Tuesday night replay.

Lewis Nightingale got two in Farsley’s 3-1 win at Mossley. Aiden Savory was also on target.
