Billy Law secured the three points for Hemsworth Miners Welfare, who had to play with ten men for 40 minutes in the 3-2 win at Staveley Miners Welfare.

A fast and furious first half saw Nick Guest and Jed Wilkinson give the Wells the lead on two occasions, only for in-form Staveley to peg them back.

A spanner was thrown into the works when Sam Jones saw red for a high tackle, five minutes into the second half.

But as time was running out, Law struck. Staveley were also reduced to ten men in the dying minutes as Liam Nelthorpe was sent off.

Aaron Moxam scored four times in Handsworth’s 10-0 thrashing of Retford United.

Simon Harrison (2), Danny Buttle, Alex RIppon, Jon Froggatt and Gareth Griffiths were also on the scoresheet.

Curtis Woodhouse has now won nine league games out of nine after Brett Agnew and Joel Sutton secured a 2-0 win for Bridlington Town at Parkgate.

Thackley are still three points at the top following a 4-0 victory at Barton Town Old Boys – the goals came from Craig Bentham, Daniel Broadbent, Ryan Farrell and George Eustance.

Pickering Town remain in pursuit of them. Paul Marshall’s side conceded a rare goal, but still won 4-1 at Athersley Rec, with Billy Logan, Nathan Kamara and Ryan Blott (2) scoring. Lee Garside was Athersley’s goal-scorer.

Ryan Carroll’s goal earned Maltby Main a point against Worksop Town.

Liversedge were denied three points after Albion Sports’ Karl Hall scored in the last minute to level the game up at 2-2.

Albion went ahead through Devonte Morton before ‘Sedge gained a winning position thanks to goals from Rhys Davies and Ste Wales.

Garforth Town drew 0-0 at Rainworth Miners Welfare, while Harrogate Railway lost 2-0 to Bottesford Town and Armthorpe Welfare were beaten 4-1 by Clipstone.
