Dave Ricardo’s first return to Selby Town adds extra spice to the Boxing Day clash between Selby and Hall Road Rangers.
Ricardo held the manager’s position at the Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium from June 2014 until February of this year when Selby decided it was time for a change,
The Hall Road boss has since gone onto show Selby what they have lost out on as he has turned the Hull-based club into title challengers.
Whereas Selby’s play-offs hopes are almost up in smoke for another year. Failure to win at least one of the two clashes with Rangers over the Festive period will effectively end any chance of reaching the top six.
The other Division One Boxing Day fixtures see Glasshoughton Welfare host Dronfield Town, Pontefract Collieries visit Hallam, Campion travel to Worsbrough Bridge, Rossington Main go to Shirebrook Town and Yorkshire Amateur face Knaresborough Town at Manse Lane.
The clash between Nostell Miners Welfare and AFC Emley kicks off at 12pm in Crofton.
