Captain Matty Thompson was one of only three familiar names on the Nostell team-sheet

AFC Emley put five past struggling Nostell Miners Welfare without reply.

Because of recent departures, Nostell were forced to field an unrecognisable side. Only captain Matty Thompson, Scott Smith and Connor Presley were the familiar names on the team-sheet.

Welfare worked hard, but Emley had too much quality for them. Ash Flynn got two and his double was followed up by strikes from Jordan Coduri, Kieran Ryan and Callum Charlton.

The gloss was taken off Emley’s by a bad injury to one of their star players Joe Brennan.
