Experienced midfielder Adam Jones has joined Worsbrough Bridge’s battle to avoid the drop.

Jones, the brother of former prolific Non League striker Ben, is a direct replacement for Bridge boss Josh Wright, who said in his interview after the draw at Nostell that he does not intend to play again.

Jones, whose NCEL registration was held by Liversedge, has featured for a few clubs over the years – most recently Ossett Albion.

Wright said: “Joner is a good friend of mine in football and jumped at the chance of helping me out.

“We both played together under Ronnie Glavin at Wakefield and then under Rich Tracey at Ossett Albion so i know his qualities and the experience he has. He will be a huge signing for the club and will offer a great deal of quality to our midfield as well as character to our dressing room.”
