Qualter and Harris on target for Lane

Rugby Town 1-2 Shaw Lane AFC

Spencer Harris scored Shaw Lane’s second goal

Table-toppers Shaw Lane AFC established a nine point lead on second-placed Witton Albion after the win at Rugby Town.

That was because Witton’s crunch clash with Spalding United was postponed. In weather which was only fit for Ducks, Shaw Lane powered to victory courtesy of two second half goals.

Their inspirational captain Ryan Qualter converted Ben Algar’s corner two minutes into the second half to break the deadlock.

Spencer Harris soon doubled their lead when latching onto Gav Allott’s flick-on.

David Kolodynski brought struggling Rugby back into it, but Shaw Lane held on.
