Nine man AFC Emley dramatically scored three late goals in the fiery clash with Yorkshire Amateur at Bracken Edge.

Matty Jackson’s double and Ash Flynn’s strike kept Emley in second place ahead of Hall Road Rangers, who have two games-in-hand.

But that does not tell the whole story. The main talking point was the drama midway through the first half when Josh Ingham flew in on Amateur captain Freddie Swales. A mass brawl ensued and it ended with the dismissals of Ingham, Emley captain Kieran Ryan and Ammers’ defender Chris Hitchings. Emley assistant manager Joe Howson was then ejected from the dugout.

Emley goalkeeper Graham McLachlan kept his side in it with an important save from Matty Dalton in the second half.

It proved vital as Emley seized their chance to go for the win. Jordan Coduri forced the opener with a superb run which Flynn finished off.

Former Nostell striker Jackson replaced Flynn and he sealed the points within two minutes of arriving on the pitch. There was more controversy then as manager Darren Hepworth was asked to leave the technical area after celebrating with a trademark sprint down the touchline.

Jackson claimed his second in the 85th minute after going one-on-one with Bojang.
