Josh Greening will be turning out in a Tadcaster Albion for a fourth consecutive season.
Greening has resisted the urges of linking up with home-town team Scarborough Athletic to stay at the i2i Sports Stadium.
“Re-signing for Tadcaster wasn’t a straight forward decision as my hometown club showed lots of interest in me, however, it just felt right and I know I’ve made the right choice,” Greening told Tadcaster’s official website.
“I love the club, the boys in the changing room, the supporters and the people behind the scenes, from Anna in the kitchen up to the owners.
“This will be my fourth season at the club and I still feel I’ve got a lot to prove – especially after a difficult season both personally and collectively.
“With some of the players we had last season I certainly think we underachieved for a variety of reasons. Also, I feel like we have signed some really good players and I’m looking forward to getting to know them.
“Most importantly I’m looking forward to working for Mikey (Morton) and Si (Collins) who I know really well; I believe the way they want to play will bring out the best in me and suit me down to the ground.
“Now I’m just excited to get back playing and enjoying my football again.”
